Padre 004
When Pete Townshend visited Padre in his office/home he wrote " His room contained a small desk, cot and chair. That was all. On the desk were some old tobacco tins ( he still smoked and rolled his own). I asked him what he kept in the tins. He said, " in these tins I keep my possessions". It inspired Pete to create his own simple cell for writing and contemplation. I found this vignette in a memoir compilation to John Lennon. John Lennon's White Room with Grand Piano reminded Pete of Padre's room in its simplicity. He wrote Imagine and many other songs in that White room. Here Padre stands in front of his room that Pete wrote about.
