Meher Baba was raised in this house (Baba House) from early adolescent through adulthood.

Baba spent his early childhood in this house kitty-corner from Baba House. Both houses are still owned by extended family. It was called The Pumpkin House because of the pumpkin like stone next to the front door.

Situated in central Poona. I used to stay in a hotel a few doors down for its proximity to Baba's house and Babajan's Tomb.

My understanding is that historically the neighborhood was the Jewiish quarters in Poona. This couple had a Star of David above their door. Unfortunately is was cropped out when I transferred it to digital .

Bus to Panchgani, Mahableshwar and Satara 19

Sitting in the center back of the bus wearing glasses is Kohiyar Satarwala. He and his family were longtime Baba Lovers who ran The Hotel Ripon in Mahableshwar. Mahableshwar was a British Hill Station in the Western Ghats (hills) between Poona and Bombay. Meher Baba visited the area many times. Koyiyar acted as guide and gracious host.
